One of the first things I wanted to do the moment I built my first groove section on my newly purchased NI Maschine MK2 was to build a track based on this groove. So I opened my DAW which is happens to be Cubase , loaded Maschine as VST channel.
And…
Than I understood I don’t know how to route all the sounds from Maschine to separate channels.
So after doing some research , here it comes:
Step 1:
Open the VST instruments pool by pressing F11 key, and load the Maschine to one of the channels.
Cubase may ask you to create a midi channel , you don’t need it for the purpose we are trying to achieve here.
2. Click the “arrow in the box” icon which is placed right near the Maschine field in the instruments pool, and mark “v” near all Maschine outputs you need . It depends on how many different sound channels you have in your
Now you can see them all at your Maschine group channel:
3. What’s left is to assign the sounds inside Maschine each to it’s channel in Cubase.
So open the Maschine plugin.
Select “sound” and than select “out”.
4. Now select the desired channel as your output to this channel:
Now your channel routed! Do the same for the rest of your Maschine channels and you are ready to go, to mix add effects side chain and rest of the things you love doing in cubase!
Hope this was helpful!
